How This Hoodie is Helping the Flint Water Crisis

And got co-signs from Tyler, The Creator and G-Eazy

In an age where influencers are more hellbent on showing off their branded freebies than giving back and encouraging social change, 19-year-old Atlanta born designer Reese Cooper (much like Heron Preston with his on-going DSNY collaboration) is looking to change that.

His latest project, entitled ‘WATER IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD’ sees the London and LA based designer release a hoodie that gives all the proceeds to the Flint Child Health & Development Fund.

“I’m a kid who makes clothes, and I thought in some way I could help or at least let the families of Flint know they are not forgotten and I care,” says Reese, who called on friends Tyler, The Creator and G-Eazy to support the non-profit project. “Not once growing up did I hesitate to drink a glass of water in my own home. Not once did my mom have to decide if she could afford to buy bottled water rather than run the tap. My hoodie project is small. I hope to do much more. Every kid deserves safe water — it’s their right.”
