In this third and final episode, Will takes a plane from the northern most town in the world, Longyearbyen, Svalbard, to private Russian temporary ice base, Camp Barneo.
From here, he and the team get a helicopter to the starting point of their route across the perilous frozen seascape of the Arctic. Together they walk for eight hours daily across constantly moving ice, traversing cracks, open leads and boulder fields.
This is the most extreme test of physical and mental endurance Will has faced, where the memory of his premature son, Freddie motivates him to keep walking.
